Introduction to Hupi signup and hupi roles

User Signup:

Go to hupi.hupi.io and click on ‘signup’ button, which will redirect you to a registration page, looking like below.

After signup, you can go back to login page and login with your newly created credentials.

Note:-

You will get a confirmation mail to email account, click on it to activate your account. Linking your profile to an account:-

Once you activated your profile, you can manage your hupi profile and settings after logging in.

But since you are not yet linked to any account/company, you won’t have access to services offered by hupi.

All services offered by hupi are linked to an factory/account. Only an factory/account administrator can add you to an account. You can belong to as many accounts/factories, but there will only one active factory/account you can link yourself to access hupi services at one time..

After clicking on settings page, you will see the following content, where you can set your active account by choosing from the dropdown and click on submit to make it your active account.

Setting your Expert Profile: –

Next step for you is create your login and password qui expert will give you access to HuPI notebooks, media, studio etc.

You can create and update your login credentials expert from the profile page. You can edit your profile page by clicking close on the Profile link from the dropdown of user icon on the top-right corner.

Once you are in that page, you can edit your profile details. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see a section named ‘Manage expert user’ like shown below.

There you can enter your desired username and password to create the expert profile and click on update.

Note:- Once you set your expert username, you can’t modify it. So choose carefully. Hupi Factories/Accounts:-

If you get a mail from hupi, that you are added as an `expert/admin` to an account/factory. You can go to the settings page after logging in and set your active account as that factory.

Once you do that, you will now have access to all hupi services for that factory like notebooks, studio and support.

If you are an expert/admin for that factory/account, you will see the following gear icon the right corner of navbar, which is shown below.

If you click on that, you will see a dropdown with the following icons.

Note:- You can use the same credentials to access services for different factory/accounts if you belong to more than one.

Adding a expert user to a factory/account:-

If you are an admin belonging to a factory, you have the ability to add a user to the factory, and assign roles to those users.

But before you can add a user as an admin/expert, you have to first add him to users list show in the above. Click on the ‘Users’ dropdown shown, which will show a list of users which you can add to your account. After adding, click on submit to update your account.

When a user/s is successfully added, then you can add them as administrators/experts to manage your factory.

So to add them to those roles, click on the respective dropdown shown above.

For example if you click on an expert dropdown, you will see the following content.
