« Co-directeur de la spécialisation Ingénierie du Cloud Computing à l’EISTI et responsable du module Cloud Data (Linked Data, Big Data), je m’efforce depuis maintenant 4 ans à offrir une solution opérationnelle à mes étudiants afin de sortir du cadre purement théorique avec expérimentations locales.
Dans cette optique, nous avions construit un petit cluster en interne, permettant de disposer de ressources suffisantes afin de tester la volumétrie et la tolérance aux pannes. Cette solution nécessitait d’une part une administration coûteuse du cluster et d’autre part un calendrier d’utilisation contraignant, car le cluster n’était pas dédié à nos seuls usages.
La plateforme mise à disposition par Hupi, résout la majorité de ces problèmes. Elle fournit un environnement dédié, constamment à jour, bénéficiant des dernières avancées technologiques et complètement sécurisé. Les étudiants y disposent chacun d’un compte personnalisé, et peuvent y déployer leurs tests, en configuration professionnelle. Cette année, le projet d’entreprise, matière essentielle de leur cursus, a d’ailleurs été complètement réalisé sur la plateforme Hupi, depuis la gestion des données mises à disposition par un client d’Hupi, à l’extraction des connaissances basées sur la plateforme Spark et à la restitution des résultats, via la brique Hupi Link. »
